What Is CoreBox?

CoreBox Training Center is a revolutionary training center encompassing BOXING, FUNCTIONAL TRAINING, and ATHLETIC DEVELOPMENT. We were the first, and currently only training center on the East Coast powered by Reebok.

CoreBox first opened it's doors in February of 2015 by Tim Stanton and Michael Foley. Their vision of creating an "adult playground" combining boxing and functional training is what became the blueprint for CoreBox. By combining boxing with functional training, CoreBox is one of the more innovative and unique training centers you'll experience, constantly updated with new "toys", as the trainers describe the equipment.

We were the first and currently only training center powered by Reebok, holding various photoshoots and retreats, as well as hosting many top tier UFC athletes prior to their fights in the area. The partnership with Reebok has allowed us to bring their Combat Sports initiative to the forefront of fitness, inspiring all to learn the art of boxing to improve their overall conditioning.

CoreBox was recently selected as one of the demo sites for Hykso punch tracking sensors, an innovative product that brings science to the forefront of fighter development. These sensors are in the process of being used by professional broadcasters and pro athletes as a way to track how many punches are thrown, at what speed, and what kinds of punches are being thrown. Here at CoreBox, we'll be helping with the testing and feedback of these intricate devices, and offering demo's for anyone interested in testing them out and learning more about them.

Here at CoreBox we're happy to be able to offer a variety of different programs to perfectly suit just about anyone's needs and goals. Our boxing program is designed to incorporate all levels from a first time beginner to a seasoned professional fighter, and everyone in between. Boxing classes should NOT just be mindlessly hitting a bag until you're red in the face and bored out of your mind, but rather should be exciting, challenging (both physically and mentally), and fun. Sparring sessions are encouraged for all who want to try getting in the ring with someone for the first time and are held regularly for our amateur and professional fighters. Our youth program helps develop the athlete as a whole through proper techniques, discipline, and overall conditioning.

Functional training has been a buzz word in the fitness industry as of late, but often times it is conveyed incorrectly. There is no such thing as a "functional exercise" as no exercise is perfect for everyone. All of us are created 100% unique, starting with our DNA and furthermore with our lifestyle, activities, and daily movements. So then why should we ever do the same exact program as someone else when we're so different from everyone else? Train the individual to maximize personalized goals. This has been the motto of head trainer Mike Foley's entire career, and it's what is enforced to all trainers and staff here at CoreBox.

It gives us great pleasure to be at the forefront of something amazing here at CoreBox, and we enjoy paying it forward as well. We will often hold various charity events for various benefits, including our annual Box-A-Thon to Beat Breast Cancer. We love the amazing support we get from our family here and the turn out for these fundraisers is such an amazing experience. All of our profits from these events goes directly to the charity.

Every so often here at the gym we'll hold amateur fight nights, where we can showcase some of the great youth talent in and around the south shore. Various gyms are invited to have their fighters compete, and it always turns out a huge crowd. Keep your eye out on our social media pages for more information and updates for our next fight night!
